What’s up, Doc?

Timeline: Arsenal playing with handbrake on.
The infamous ‘handbrake on’ excuse was firstly used way back in 2001, but was very rarely used between 2001-2007. But since 2007 we have often been playing with handbrake on - no wonder the Arsenal is broken down.
It tells ya that this squad or management is incapable of learning from mistakes. They’ll repeat the mistakes.
What is the difference between Arsenal and this guy?
The habit of switching off at any point is infuriating me a lot. I really can’t get it out of my head. I just can’t. How can players switch off in a derby match? How?
We had decent 11 players on the pitch, but none of them were playing for each other. They all were individuals. Hence you see Arsenal players wandering about just before Spurs scored the winner.
The laissez faire attitude or approach we have is costing us more than points. Arsenal doesn’t look a good proposition for a new prospective player. It won’t be easy to get out of this rut because we can’t even do the basic stuff right.
We can’t concentrate as a unit. We can’t defend as a team. We panic as a team. We wander off as a team.
We have a world class goalkeeper, but nothing in front of him. We have a world-class striker, but nothing behind him. I am not saying we need lots of new players, in fact, I feel we have got a reasonable quality in the squad. It is just that we aren’t getting best out of them.
Just think about it.. with Denilson, Eboue, Almunia, Bendtner, etc we had been challenging for top and currently we have got better players than those, but yet we are struggling. Because we just keep creating problems for ourselves. We should be doing better.
Wenger needs to do something about it. He needs to be more autocratic in his approach now. He can’t be laid back about this and come out with usual excuses.
The formation needs to change; I feel, we should use 4-5-1 because with that formation we will be able to bring cohesiveness back into the team. The formation will make players do their defensive chores. And needs to play the players who will run for the team. For example, Chamakh, Frimpong, Jenkinson, Coquelin, etc. They will put in an effort to do all the basic stuffs - that is chase after the ball, defend, keep the ball, etc.
We have simple problems but players don’t have a bit of common sense in them to stay calm, concentrate and do the basics.
We are in trouble and a miracles is not going to get us out of this; you have to do it yourself, unless you are going to walk away to another club.
If Arsenal players think they will get out of this by going to another club, then we have no chance of seeing a spirited performance from this squad again.
… but no simple solutions.
Don’t think we have had Summer this year, but it has been a horrible Summer. I didn’t have a holiday and there was nothing to enjoy in last few months.
Now doing two exams in November. That means: Work and study, and in between, watch both India and the Arsenal struggle. What a
However, because of this miserable summer, I have been able to get rid of the idiot box out of my life and spending less time online, which is a good thing. It has improved health of my eyes.
I am not going to look at the league table this season because it would just make me feel proper sad.
It will really take a lot of effort to get back up where we supposed to be. Everyone is demoralised at the moment. It won’t take one good result or performance to change the fortune. More is required.
Yes, we have had many players out injured or suspended, but do you really see them improving the team to the level the Arsenal are expected to play? Them coming back to the team with a few new marquee players will improve us. But we only have three days left to build the team for the season, if we don’t, then I can’t even imagine what it will be like rest of the season.
Sighs, just hoping for some good news in next three days. Hope father Christmas comes early for us.
